Residense in Marousi
A contemporary residence in Marousi showcases the dynamic character of modern architecture, combining clean geometries, functionality, and a direct connection with the natural environment.
The placement of the building in an “L”-shaped configuration is not merely a geometric choice, but a strategic decision that frees up the outdoor space and integrates it into the overall living experience. The garden and swimming pool are developed in direct relation to the residence, creating an inward-looking, protected microcosm where light, views, and privacy exist in constant dialogue. Large openings and the strong relationship between interior and exterior spaces transform the residence into an urban retreat of high-quality living.
The residence is developed across two levels, with a clean, symmetrical, and balanced morphology.
The material palette follows a consistent and refined approach that emphasizes the architectural character of the house. White plaster dominates the exterior surfaces, offering a sense of purity and brightness. In contrast, black and charcoal metal details — used in railings, entrance doors, and fencing — add depth, character, and modern elegance. Glass balustrades on the balconies reinforce the sense of lightness and transparency, allowing unobstructed visual continuity throughout the spaces.
The interior design focuses on an open-plan living room, dining area, and kitchen, all maintaining a direct visual and functional relationship with the outdoor environment. The clear geometric organization is enhanced through the use of linear lighting — both indoors and outdoors — highlighting the purity of the architectural lines.
Overall, this residence is not merely a functional living space. It is a statement of how architecture can transform everyday life into an experience — an environment that balances comfort with aesthetics, privacy with openness, and geometric rigor with natural flow.
