Residence in Ekali 2

A new study for a residence in Ekali, in a 1.2-acre plot.

The residence expands into three levels, with the ground floor designed in an L-shape, separating the living room from the kitchen and dining area. The first floor houses three bedrooms with private bathrooms and a guest room. The basement features utilities, as well as a playroom, gym, sauna, and a small wine cellar.

The geometry of the building places it in reference to the outdoor living area while the large openings facilitate the integration of the interior with the surrounding area. The exterior blinds give character to the building while regulating the shading in the interior spaces.

The architectural design focuses on clean shapes accentuated by the use of strong contrast: the upper body features earthy tones (travertine stone) while balancing on the robust black plaster surfaces of the ground floor.
