Stonewall Residence, Elefsina

The Stonewall Residence is located in Elefsina, on a plot with gentle topography. The main living areas are developed on a single level, reinforcing the connection with nature and providing direct access to the outdoor space.

The architectural design balances the contemporary with the timeless, respectfully highlighting the natural environment in which the residence is situated. Clean geometries and minimal lines define the architectural composition, with the dominant feature being the stone wall that shapes the identity of the house.

The wall runs horizontally along the street, like a backdrop that adds weight and an earthy character to the main façade. The openings embedded into its surface create strong contrasts of light and shadow, functioning as a privacy filter while also delineating space and guiding movement toward the central garden.

The natural texture of the stone contributes to a dynamic play of light throughout the day, offering both thermal protection and visual consistency.

The entrance is accentuated by a composition of marble steps leading to a striking wooden door. The volumes of the residence have been placed according to orientation, ensuring unobstructed views and abundant natural light throughout the interior.

Large openings and sliding frames create a flexible, cross-ventilated interior, promoting seamless continuity between inside and outside.

The semi-outdoor space acts as a transitional zone, unifying indoor life with the garden and encouraging a living experience based on flow, interaction, and relaxation.

The surrounding landscape features curated planting that enhances the sense of naturalness and privacy, through a thoughtful mix of low and tall vegetation.

This residence is a successful combination of functionality, understated luxury, and respect for the natural landscape.
