The project is a new residential study by ACRM, located in Filothei on a 700-square-meter plot. The aim of the design is to create a residence that functions harmoniously both internally and externally, while fully embracing natural light and elements such as greenery and water.
The architectural concept focuses on dynamic, clean volumes that define the building’s contemporary identity. A large portion of the exterior surfaces is clad with large-format travertine stone slabs, lending the residence a warm, earthy character and a sense of timeless elegance.
The house is designed as a dual-aspect residence and unfolds vertically across three levels. Expansive openings strengthen the visual and spatial connection between the interior spaces, the outdoor environment, and the swimming pool. The ground floor is conceived as an open-plan layout with minimal partitions, allowing the living spaces to flow seamlessly around the staircase, which acts as the central architectural focal point connecting all levels.
On the first floor, an open atrium is flooded with natural light. This light is softly filtered through vertical louvers, extending all the way down to the ground floor and enhancing the atmosphere throughout the interior.
The outdoor area at the rear of the residence has been carefully designed to maximize the living experience, where the reflective surface of the swimming pool exists in complete harmony with the warmth of the outdoor fireplace. Both the indoor and outdoor living areas are oriented toward this central space, reinforcing the dialogue between architecture and landscape.
A strong connection with nature is fundamental to the overall design approach and finds a particularly expressive application on the planted roof terrace, where an independent studio is thoughtfully integrated, offering panoramic views in every direction.
