The project concerns the design of a complex of three contemporary residences in Filothei, Athens, with the aim of creating a high-quality residential development that combines contemporary architectural expression with the comfort, functionality, and quality of everyday living.
The architectural composition is based on clean geometries and strong horizontal lines, defined by the projecting slabs and contrasted with solid, monolithic elements clad in natural stone. The interplay between solid and transparent surfaces adds depth, rhythm, and plasticity to the façades, while the large openings enhance the visual and spatial continuity between the interior and exterior spaces. At the same time, they provide abundant natural light and natural ventilation throughout the residences.
The material palette is defined by the use of natural materials, such as exposed stone masonry, combined with earthy tones and extensive planting across the terraces and rooftops. This approach gives the development a calm and timeless character, while strengthening its integration into the natural surroundings and its relationship with the landscape.
Each residence is conceived as an independent unit, featuring private outdoor spaces and a swimming pool, creating a high level of privacy, comfort, and openness. The outdoor areas form an integral part of the living experience, extending the functional living spaces and reinforcing the connection between everyday life and the natural landscape.
Overall, the design aims to create a contemporary residential development with a clear and distinctive architectural identity. The quality of the spaces, materiality, relationship with the landscape, and seamless transition between interior and exterior constitute the key design principles, with the ultimate goal of achieving a high-quality living environment that combines contemporary aesthetics with timelessness and everyday comfort.
